Morgan Steward has always wanted to be a police officer and he wasn't going to let a little thing like the genetic condition spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type II stop him. His local police department found out about the 5-year-old's wish and made it come true. The lucky Covington, Georgia boy got to take an oath (where he pledged to protect his community and also obey his mom), ride in the squad car and do other police things.

"He always said, ‘Mom, I want to be a police officer, I want to stop the bad guys," mom Tangi Foreman told Fox 5 News. That's just what he did, wheelchair and all. Morgan first met police officers at a charity event in October of this year. His aunt posted a cute photo of him on Facebook holding a sign saying, "My name is Morgan Steward. I am SMA type II. My wish is to be a police officer." The photo caught the police department's attention and they started making it happen right away.

Morgan got a police uniform and a key to the city in addition to taking an oath and cruising around with the police officers. Best of all? Morgan gets to lead the local Christmas parade in a police car. Police Chief Stacey Cotton called his day with Morgan "the highlight of [his] career" and it's easy to see why. Morgan is an adorable kid with an incredible spirit. Good for you, Morgan! You enjoy that parade.
